August 1, 2005
Guest Speaker: Louis Santiago Jr.
Guest Clinician: Jeremiah Webb Jr.
Young "Up & Comer": Benny Ramos IV
The evening began, as usual, with food & fellowship.
Bill had to be in Denver, Colorado accompanying his church youth choir in national competition, so Jeremiah Webb Jr. gracefully accepted the responsibility of running & MC-ing the Get-Together. Jeremiah did a wonderful job and the youth choir placed 3rd in the nation!
Because of the upcoming event in Marinette that would include Louis Santiago Jr., a DVD of Louis' performance and ministry at the 2004 Drummers For Jesus International Celebration was played.
Donations to the "Attic Drums" mission were received.
Our Young "Up & Coming" drummer was Benny Ramos IV. He was totally
awesome! So much talent . . . so young.
Due to an emergency situation with our scheduled clinician, Jeremiah Webb Jr. from Brookfield Assembly of God Church stepped up to the plate as our clinician for the month. Jeremiah talked about playing drums in worship, drum sounds and techniques. He did a fantastic job!
The evening closed with our customary jam session.
A great time was had by all.
A special thanks go out to Chris Gullicksen who single-handedly ran all the tech stuff, set-up & tear-down and Darlene Sargent, who ran everything else all by herself while both daughters & hubby were in Colorado! Way to go you two!!!
My sincere thanks to Cy White of PHOTO ACTION USA
for providing the wonderful pictures of our monthly Get-Together
for the Wisconsin Chapter of Drummers for Jesus.
