The debut of the

"Drummers For Jesus" Group

at "Powerfest" in Marinette, Wisconsin

&

The Drummers For Jesus Guinness World Record Attempt

"Drummers Central" Headquarters

Powerfest was a wonderful event. A great setting in northern Wisconsin with a wonderful line-up of top name artists. It was a true family atmosphere and everyone felt like a close family. Entire families came to spend the weekend. I had drummers from all over stopping by "Drummers Central" to chat.

This was the official debut of the Drummers For Jesus performance/ministry group. It was an awesome success. The group of 4 drumset drummers and 2 percussionists played "in The Spirit" for an hour and 15 minutes while our "tag team" of 2 preachers read the Word or prayed over us as The Holy Spirit instructed. God was moving in a powerful way and lives were changed.

We were not successful in setting a new Guinness World Record, as our numbers fell short, but the drummers who showed up testified that they had an awesome experience. Most had never experienced anything like it before in their life.

In every way, other than the actual record, this day was a complete success!

Drummers had traveled from as far away as Oklahoma, and all of those I talked with said they were looking forward to next year and would be back with more of their friends.

We will evaluate the Attempt and make another run at the Record sometime again in the near future. Failure is only a stepping stone to success.

The drum clinics Louis Santiago Jr. and I gave went very well. I was especially impressed with Louis' clinic. Let me tell you, this guy is the "real deal". He not only taught some awesome stuff about learning to play the drums, but he imparted great wisdom regarding playing worship and LIVING the Christian walk. I was so blessed to have been there soaking it in.

Headhunters drumsticks, the DC California Snare Drum, the Soutone Cymbal, the Phat Feet, and the Serpent Cymbal were all given away to very grateful attendees.

A word about these giveaways:

Headhunter drumsticks: These were beautiful sticks produced especially for this day with imprinting that commemorated our Guinness World Record Attempt. They have a great feel and are solid. All the drummers were happy to get them. Drummers from some of the name bands playing the festival asked about how to get them. Great sticks!

DC California Drums: The snare drum we gave away was simply stunning! The pictures we have on the sight do NOT do the drum justice. It was a chameleon-like finish that changed colors depending on your angle of view. Everyone who viewed it went "oohh" and "aahh". Not only did it look good, but it played great and the sound was sensitive and superb! The winner was speechless.

The Phat Feet were welcomed by all the drummers who won them. Many did not have drum carpets and many didn't want to carry drum carpets as they are big, bulky and dirty. This invention solved both problems.

The Soultone cymbal was a true musical work of art. It is rare these days to find a cymbal with deep musical textures and sound like this one exhibited. The winner was very grateful.

The Serpent cymbal . . . well, what can I say but it is one of a kind. It is unlike any cymbal I've every seen or heard. It produced an incredible special effects sound that is very hard to describe, but suffice it to say, that every one who say and heard it . . . well, their eyes just kind of popped out of their head, their jaws dropped open a bit, and they said, "Man, I've gotta have one!"
