Guest Clinician: Pastor Timothy McHatten
Young "Up & Comers": TJ McHatten & Joshua McHatten
Our February 2nd Get-Together was truly special. It was our 4th Anniversary Birthday Celebration. Yep, the 49th Get-Together! The first Monday of every month. We have never canceled for any reason; not snow, heat, rain, holiday, vacations or any other excuse!!
New attendees received a pair of HEADHUNTERS DRUMSTICKS!
Everyone who gave us advance notice of their attending this event received a special door prize of a DVD containing over 2,500 photos of the past year of Get-Togethers. People were also able to pick up prints of their photos from previous years of our Get-Togethers.
We fellowshipped while we ate hot pizza, cold drinks, and desserts. We also had a special birthday cake for everyone.
Special recognitions to a few people who've been faithful and instrumental behind the scenes to make this happen on a regular basis. Cy White for his fantastic photography. Chris Gullicksen for his handling of all things tech. Darlene & Jennifer Sargent for set-up, tear-down, and administering the details throughout the evenings.
Door prizes were awarded. Cascio Interstate Music donated a who box of goodies including a pair of Extreme Isolation Headphones. Uncle Bob's Music donated a big bag of goodies and also donated the use of two fine brand new Mapex drum sets for the McHatten family to use for their clinic.
Bill Sargent spoke on Solomon and the concept of Diligence and how we need to apply that in our lives and to our craft of drumming and music.
Our Young Up & Comers were 14 year old TJ McHatten and his brother 11 year old Joshua McHatten. These brothers are following their father's fine example and are turning into very skilled drummers at a very early age. They're really making it happen.
Our Special Guest Clinician was Pastor Timothy McHatten. He gave us some great wisdom and played several styles to tracks. Timothy sure is a bunch of fun to watch and listen to.
The rest of the evening was filled with a super fun jam session and socializing. There was some super amazing drumming on display!!
Many thanks to Cascio Interstate Music, Uncle Bob's Music, and The Headhunters Drumsticks Company for their kind generosity in supporting our chapter and this event. When you stop in at these stores, be sure to take time to personally thank Jeff at Uncle Bob's and Steve at Cascio Interstate for their thoughtfulness. We are truly grateful.
My sincere thanks to Cy White of PHOTO ACTION USA
