Our first anniversary birthday celebration!
Speaker & Clinician: Bill Sargent
Young "Up & Comers": Zach Hubert & Peter Sideras
We had our best turnout yet, with over 100 people in attendance.
A pair of Headhunters drumsticks were given to each new attendee.
We all fellowshipped while eating pizza & great desserts. We sang happy birthday to us and Genesis Maceda blew out the candle on our birthday cake!
Peter Sideras and Zach Hubert were our first "Young Up & Comers" when we started a year ago and they came back for an encore and progress update. Everyone was impressed with how they have grown and matured as drummers.
We had a bunch or door prize giveaways throughout the night donated by Cascio Interstate Music, Uncle Bob's Music, and the Phat Foot Company.
Pastor Jerome Spencer gave a humbling introduction to the speaker & clinician for the evening, Bill Sargent. Bill is the director of our chapter of Drummers For Jesus.
Bill gave his testimony followed by a drum clinic in which he demonstrated many aspects of equipment, technique and playing styles.
The "Equipment Tip" of the month was the popular DVD "Groove Essentials" by Tommy Igoe.
Our jam session consisted of countless drummers on 7 drumsets and 1 percussion set-up.
Many thanks to Cascio Interstate Music, Uncle Bob's Music Center and the Phat Foot Company.
My sincere thanks to Cy White of PHOTO ACTION USA
for providing the wonderful pictures of our monthly Get-Together
