Our monthly Get-Together on March 13th was fantastic!

New attendees received a pair of HEADHUNTERS DRUMSTICKS!

We all fellowshipped while eating pizza.

We celebrated fellow Drummers For Jesus Group member - Raquel Mayer's 17th birthday with a round of Happy Birthday and a wonder birthday cake!

Our special guest speaker was Kel Bergendahl - professional bassist and co-director of the Living Light School of Worship in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Kal talked about technical fine points of drumming, leading worship and what a bass player looks for in a good drummer as well as what a bass player expects of his drummer.

We had a doorprize giveaways! Kal donated several of the school's student project Cds for door prizes. David Beall gave away a bunch of DVDs of our 1st Anniversary Birthday Celebration. We also gave away 2 "PHAT FEET".

The "Equipment Tip" of the month was a very handy accessory called "Direct Sound Extreme Isolation Headphones"

Our "Young Up & Coming" drummer for the evening was Raquel Mayer. She was featured a year ago and she demonstrated how far she has come with her drumming gift!

Our special guest clinician was Bill Schmidt. Benny gave an excellent clinic covering fundamental aspects of playing that included hand & finger technique, the use of a good practice pad, drum tuning and playing various different styles. He also recommended a very fine and much needed book for worship musicians - "The Heart Of The Artist" by Rory Noland. You can find it on our BOOKS page.

Our jam session consisted of countless drummers thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to play with fellow drummers.
