March 14, 2005

Guest Speaker: Fine Arts Pastor - Dave Bullock
Guest Clinician: David Ruetz - Drum Set
Young "Up & Comers": Zach Hubert & Peter Sideras

Our second get-together on Monday, March 14th was an even greater success than our first.

Our guest speaker was Dave Bullock, Fine Arts Pastor of Elmbrook Church. He gave a powerful talk on worship and a drummer's role in worship.

Our two up & coming drummers were Peter Sideras of Brookfield Assembly of God & Zach Hubert of Peace Lutheran. They did a great job!

Our featured clinician was Dave Ruetz along with members of his Praise Band, the Mount Zion Praise Band. The band was awesome and Dave did a superb job of teaching a well rounded, balanced clinic that included a section on poly rhythms and Afro/Cuban rhythms.

We were also treated to an incredible Tabla demonstration by Romail Bhatta from Pakistan.

The evening closed with 11 drummers on separate drumsets & percussion set-ups.

My sincere thanks to Cy White of PHOTO ACTION USA
for providing the wonderful pictures of our monthly Get-Together
for the Wisconsin Chapter of Drummers for Jesus.
